Referenser Hotels Falkensteiner Montafon
Adventure for all the family in an Alpine paradise
Is it at all possible to relax on a family holiday? Taking your nearest and dearest on holiday can often be quite an ordeal – a challenge the five-star family hotel Falkensteiner Montafon has been more than happy to accept. Nestling among the dense forests and majestic summits of an Austrian nature reserve at 1,000 meters above sea level, the hotel offers an incomparable Alpine experience for young and old alike. Whether thrills and spills in nature, entertaining children’s programs, or total relaxation in the spa – the Falkensteiner Montafon offers something to suit everyone. And what is more, the hotel even manages to be climate-neutral. This approach to sustainability is also reflected in the interior design realized by Vudafieri-Saverino Partners, an architects’ firm with offices in Milan and Shanghai. Accordingly, the rooms and suites were fitted out with robust designer products from the complete bathroom manufacturer Duravit.Pure Alpine flair
The hotel extends over four levels and boasts more than 123 rooms and suites across the upper three stories. White plaster, natural wood and a warm, autumnal color palette contribute to a welcoming interior ambience, while spacious panoramic windows bring the enchanting Alpine essence right into the room to create a spectacular backdrop. The open architecture means that the view can be enjoyed throughout the room, including in the bathroom, where optimum comfort is guaranteed thanks to the use of high-quality ceramics from Duravit. The integrated D-Code washbasins in timeless white and the wall-mounted D-Neo toilets complement the inviting room design and lend the bathroom a sophisticated aesthetic.
Charm of the Montafon
The distinctive main staircase leads from the upper floors down to the communal areas on the ground floor, where the lobby, the bar, the pool, the spa, and the restaurant are located. Materials such as stone, larch, and spruce wood were predominantly used as an homage to the traditional architecture of the region. The rural ambience is augmented further by the skillful use of regional references as decoration elements, such as barn fences typical of the region, which are used as room dividers in the restaurant.
Sustainable actions for a climate-neutral impact
The hotel takes particular care over the sustainable use of resources and energy: electricity is sourced exclusively from the nearby hydroelectric power plant, while great weight is placed on sourcing regional organic products, on short supply chains, and on systematic recycling. Thanks to these measures and cooperation with turn to zero, the Falkensteiner Montafon is able run an entirely climate-neutral hotel operation.
