Dronningens Ferieby is located about 100 metres from the wonderful sandy beach of the seaport of Grenaa on the Djursland peninsula. The holiday village consisting of 44 houses is Europe’s first holiday centre to be equipped especially for visitors with limited physical mobility and ensures a barrier-free break on Denmark’s coast.

The characteristic holiday homes all have the same harmonious architecture that is completely at one with the unspoilt nature of the surrounding forest and moorland. Each house has an area of 75 m² and is dedicated to visitor comfort. The heights of the shelves and tables are adjustable, whilst spacious rooms enable unrestricted freedom of movement. Furthermore, all the doors are sliding and easy to open and close. In the bathrooms, Duravit’s SensoWash shower-toilet ensures a special level of comfort. Functions such as the Rearwash, Comfortwash and Ladywash are remote controlled and create a pleasant feeling of freshness.

Those wanting to take a refreshing dip in the sea can access the water directly via a bathing bridge designed especially for wheelchair-users. Furthermore, the entire park is accessible via wide, tiled paths that are also suitable for use by people with limited mobility.
